HHO still in progress
I’m starting to feel stupid. The generator is still not running. I replaced the tap water and salt with distilled water and added baking soda. I was able to make it run for a little while in the truck and it blew the fuse in about 2 minutes. There was a lot more production than before and the water remained clear. I then cut the tabs off some of the plates and reconfigured the power.
Now with the plates wired as +NNN—NNN+ the cel produces a lot less than it did as -+-+-+-+-+- and none at all with the engine running, The other thing that has me stumped is it turns on with the key off. I think the relay may be bad or I just thought I had an ignition switch hot and ended up with hot all the time. I’ll need to trouble shoot that as well.
There will be rejoicing when I finally get it running.
When I started playing with HHO I thought the more the better and that is not the case. Hydrogen is 2 1/2 times more flammable than gas so it doesn’t need as much as you think. The object is to make gas burn at 100% instead of 80% and a little hydrogen will do this. Can you hook your unit up in your garage before you hook it up in your car? Saves some frustration when it doesn’t work the way you want or pops fuses. I’ve hooked them up in my garage with long wire straight to the battery with alligator clips and put a fuse in line(start with 15 amp and let it run for awhile to see if the fuse pops, then increase to 20,25,30 and repeat) so I could see what the unit was doing, heat, production, amp draw….. What fuse did it pop? Did it pop the one you put in line to your unit or did it pop the one your drawing power from? If it pops the one you put in your unit is drawing to much amps but if it’s the other one you could just be over loading the circuit and need to find a different power source. Keep it simple.
